Second Posthumous Pop Smoke Album Set To Drop Next Month

A second posthumous Pop Smoke album is set to drop on July 16 via Victor Victor.

A trailer featuring archival audio and video footage of Pop Smoke was released. However, no additional details, including the title or tracklist, were revealed.

The 17-track album arrives just about a year after Pop Smoke’s first posthumous album, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, dropped in July last year.

The album had dropped just months after his death in February 2020. It was also Pop Smoke’s first proper studio album after a pair of celebrated mixtapes.

Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon was a commercial success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, giving Pop Smoke his first number-one hit.

All 19 tracks on the album also charted on the Billboard Hot 100 following its first week of release.

Pop Smoke began his music career in late 2018 with his debut single “Mpr (Panic Part 3 Remix)”. He rose to fame with the release of his breakout singles “Welcome to the Party” and “Dior” in 2019, which later appeared on his first mixtape, 2019’s Meet the Woo.

The sequel to that tape, Meet the Woo 2, was released in February 2020, just over a week before Pop Smoke was shot and killed in Los Angeles.
