Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has returned to the top of the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart.
Ending Taylor Swift‘s six-week long reign at the top of the Official Singles Chart with “Anti-Hero,” Mariah reaches the summit notching 10.8 million streams over the past week.
The Christmas carol had reached the top of Billboard‘s Global 200 Songs Chart last week.
A track from Carey’s 1994 album Merry Christmas, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is an up-tempo love song that includes bell chimes, backing vocals and synthesizers. The song has become a Christmas standard and continues to surge in popularity each holiday season.
On the latest U.K. Singles Chart, Raye earned a career-best peak with “Escapism,” featuring 070 Shake, at No. 2.
Four more Christmas songs land in the Official Top 10; Wham! with “Last Christmas” (3), Ed Sheeran & Elton John‘s “Merry Christmas” (4), Brenda Lee‘s “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” (6) and Michael BublĂ© with “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” (10).
